Pittsburg is a charter city of the first class with a commission/manager form of government. The City Manager oversees all City operations and is responsible for all departments and employees. The City Manager is appointed directly by the City Commission.


City Hall

City Hall is located at 201 West 4th Street. Offices are open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, but are closed on most holidays.  

Utility bills may be paid online or on the first floor of City Hall during regular business hours. Payments may also be left in the drop box outside the building.


Elections for the City Commission are held every other year.  Kansas elections are conducted by the counties with oversight by the Secretary of State’s office. Register to vote online or download the Kansas Voter Registration Application.
